Using reflections in photography can lead to some amazing effects and beautiful images. Using water, windows, mirrors or any sort of reflective surface can change an image into a work of art. The wonderful thing about using reflections when taking photos is that they can completely alter the image from something fairly straightforward to something richer or abstract or otherwise more artistic. Whether you choose to use reflection in an artistic way or as a source of lightning, learning to use reflections in photography helps take your photographic skills to the next level.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Silhouette “Dawn and Dusk”

~ As the sun lays down and closes it’s eyes on another days work,
The sky above is painted an array of peaceful hues…
Amazed by Your Glorious presence, I gaze towards the closing sun;
And stare onto the very heart of My God… ~

silhouette is the image of a person, an object or scene represented as a solid shape of a single color, usually black, its edges matching the outline of the subject. The interior of a silhouette is basically featureless, and the whole is typically presented on a light background, usually white, or none at all. The silhouette differs from an outline which depicts the edge of an object in a linear form, while a silhouette appears as a solid shape. Silhouette images may be created in any visual artistic media.
